2012 marked a very successful year for our business expansion region-wide. Under the mission of new business development in the region, we worked through merger and acquisition and partnering with strategic alliances to combine the new businesses with our current business. Under our supporting role for BJC Business Units, we also strived to seek for new market opportunities for business units in the overseas. In addition, we played active role as a distribution center for non-BCJ products in the region.
Our organization is now divided into five groups:
- BJC International Co.,Ltd.
- BJC International Co.,Ltd. (Hong Kong)
- BJC International (Vietnam) Limited
- Asia Books
Currently, our International Business Division head quarter is based in Thailand, while we have employees stationed in our regional operation office in Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.
2012 was an especially remarkable year for Vietnam business expansion with the grand opening of our glass factory - Malaya Vietnam Glass Limited - in February 2012 at Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, with production capacity of 280 MT per day. The TBC - Ball Beverage Can Vietnam Ltd., also launched their grand opening in May 2012. The can factory is located in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 2 in Binh Duong Province with production capacity of 850 million cans per year. In the same month, May 2012, we also had the opening ceremony of Thai Corp International (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., new office building located at Tan-Binh Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City. Over the past 3 years of our great endeavor, we had successfully established promising businesses in Vietnam. We will continue to expand our trading networks and investments to the North in the near future to build sustainable businesses in Vietnam.
